Between control and chaos – Ben Nevis 2019

Of rounds and Lakeland fells

The glory is in the doing, they say, but sometimes the end is just as sweet.

The year of the wind – Carnethy 5 2019

We started in army formation, had entered the battle, and here we were strewn across the battlefield.

Mountains of the mind #TimeToTalk

Sunrise over a snow-capped hill

I have made it beyond the trees, the sun has come up, and for now my rock is still and silent. But, there will always be times when the wind picks up and you are knocked from your place.

Devil’s Burdens – ‘Total chaos, but just brilliant’

Runners posing after a race as a team.

Larry Who? The Lairig Ghru Marathon

It is rather odd. Four-and-a-half hours before, I had left the streets of Braemar. Here I was, running hell for leather down the pavements of Aviemore, holiday-makers watching me bemusedly as I groaned past them, running as hard as I could to the Mountain Cafe.
